Purple Vertex Digital ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Road Trip Mania mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the App.\n\nIf you use the App without an account: We collect and store Trip Information, Game Progress, and Home Location data. This data is stored only on your local device.\n\nIf you create an account: To provide cross-device synchronization, we collect and store the following information on secure third-party servers (Google Firebase):\n• Your email address and password\n• Your Trip Information\n• Your Game Progress\n• Your Set Location data
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:\n• To provide and maintain the core functionality of the App.\n• To create and manage your account, and to secure your access to the App.\n• To synchronize your App data (Trip Information, Game Progress, etc.) across multiple devices if you have created an account.\n• To convert city and state names you provide into geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude). This process requires a brief internet connection to communicate with a geocoding service.
Data Storage and Third-Party Services
Google Firebase: For users who create an account, we use Google Firebase, a third-party service, to securely store and manage all account and App data (email, password, Trip Information, and Game Progress). This allows you to access your information from any device where you are logged in. You can review Google’s Privacy Policy for more information on their security practices.\n\nGeocoding Service: The App uses a geocoding service to convert location names into coordinates. This involves sending the city and state you enter over the internet to receive the corresponding latitude and longitude.
Your Rights and Choices (Account Deletion)
You have the right to delete your account at any time through the designated function within the App.\n\nRequesting account deletion will permanently remove all of your information—including your email address, Trip Information, and Game Progress—from our records on Google Firebase. Any data stored locally on your device will also be deleted. This action cannot be undone.\n\nPlease note that simply uninstalling the App from your device will not delete your account information from Google Firebase if you have created an account. To ensure all your data is permanently removed, you must use the in-app account deletion feature before uninstalling.
Children’s Privacy
Our App is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
